COAS Lt. Gen buratai presenting award of excellence to late Lt. Col Ali
Nigerian army are mourning the death of Lt. Col. Muhammad Abu Ali recognized as Sarkin Yaki (Chief warrior), Mr. Ali before his death was the Commanding officer, 272
Task Force Battalion at Mallam Fatori in Borno State.
Mr . Ali died along with four other soldiers during a
confrontation with the boko haram insurgents who attacked 119 Battalion,
Nigerian Army locationat Mallam Fatori on Friday.
The Theatre Command Centre of Operation Lafiya Dole in
Maiduguri, said Ali, “served the nation with unwavering commitment and
dedication, paying the ultimate price so that millions can sleep on their beds
in peace.”
Mr. Ali was promoted just last year due to his gallantry in
the battlefield.
